Red Girl has been long-listed for the

Frank O’Connor Short Story Prize!

This prize, named for the Irish author and nationalist (1903-1966) who wrote “Guests of the Nation” among other deeply-felt and political short fictions, nominates collections of short stories by writers from all over the world. Lots of them, too — a seriously long list!   Here it is.

To be long-listed for this award is a thrill, the more so because I’m one of FOUR Biblioasis authors named. The others are Craig Boyko, Novelists; K. D. Miller, All Saints; and Kathy Page, Paradise Elsewhere. Our small press is already known for unusual and high-quality short fiction, and this slew of long-listees will just heighten that reputation.
