International Festival of Authors

This massive literary event

— October 23 to November 2, at Toronto’s Harbourfront — includes writers from all around the world as well as many Canadian writers. I’m scheduled for two events:

Friday November 1, at 8 pm in the Studio Theatre, a reading with four other writers:

George Elliott Clarke  http://www.quillandquire.com/blog/index.php/authors/qa-with-toronto-poet-laureate-george-elliott-clarke/

Aminatta Forna  http://www.aminattaforna.com

Douglas Glover   http://www.douglasglover.net

Charlotte Gray   http://www.charlottegray.ca

Saturday November 2, at 4 pm in the Studio Theatre, a Round Table hosted by Toronto journalist Susan Cole  http://www.nowtoronto.com/about/bios/sgcole.cfm

The other panelists are Canadian writer Helen Humphreys  http://www.hhumphreys.com and American novelist  Meg Wolitzer http://www.megwolitzer.com   Our topic will be Trusting The Muse. Should be an interesting discussion. Maybe we don’t all believe in muses?
